NerdLacquer - Cyance Friction

Hello everyone!

I'm so happy to be finally posting this polish today! This is my second NerdLacquer polish called Cyance Friction.

"CYANCE FRICTION is a brilliant cyan-teal with pink shimmer plus turquoise and copper glitter. Much like Michael Shermer himself, it's supremely bright, yet still approachable." - description from

This is an awesome blue/green color. Honestly, I was buying it specifically for the color and the cool copper glitter. I had no idea how amazing the pink shimmer looked until I saw the bottle and applied it to my nails!!! Of course, the shimmer is hard to capture on camera but it is definitely there! It is gorgeous.

For these pictures I wore a base color of China Glaze - Turned Up Turquoise. I am sure that this doesn't need a base color but I wanted to save as much Cyance Friction as possible!

China Glaze - Itty, Bitty & Gritty

Today I have one of the new China Glaze texture polishes to show you!

This one is called Itty, Bitty & Gritty. It's a moderately neon coral and it feels like the side of a textured stucco house. This dried fairly quickly! I could have gotten away with one coat but I used two for this manicure. Overall, I really like this polish. I really like the textured paint look and the color went well with my skin tone.

Right before I removed it, I decided to add topcoat to one of my nails.. just to see how it would look!

PS, the removal was a little easier than glitter.

Blue Flowers

Today I have some blue spring flowers on my nails - done with acrylic paints.

The base is Sinful Colors - Sugar Rush (since I'm still obsessed with pastels hehe).

For this manicure, I used a new top coat that I want to rave about. It is NYC's Extra Shiny Top Coat (271). First, the shine is amazing! But most importantly.. it dries SO fast! I'm talking about Seche Vite fast! It is thick so it did not smudge any of my acrylic paint ( I will be testing with stamping soon ) BUT the best part is.. this is only 99 cents!!!

So if you are looking for a cheap top coat, I highly recommend this NYC one. I am curious if this will get goopy over time but for now, I love it! I know that some top coats don't work for everyone but I hope it works for anyone who tries it.

PS. I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger award by Love for Nail Art and I want to say thank you so much!! I will be writing up a blog post for it as soon as I can!

Spring Gradient

So I have realized that I really miss blogging and I am going to keep going. I had lost motivation and began to have difficulty finding time to even do my nails due to school and work! So I am not going to be able to post so much for the next month while I finish this semester up but when summer break comes along I should be able to do more!

Here is a pastel gradient that I wore for awhile, and for Easter. I did a base of white and the colors are China Glaze - Refresh Mint, Sinful Color - Sugar Rush, and Sinful Colors - Sweet Tooth. I just painted the colors onto a makeup sponge and dabbed it onto my nail!
